Mr.K.Thandeswaran,M.A.,M.Ed.,
a retired Chief Educational Officer, is a renowned educationalist. His
commitment to the cause of education is well known. He started his career
as a teacher in 1956. His devotion to the welfare of the students resulted
in getting honoured by the Tamilnadu State Government with the ‘BEST
TEACHER AWARD’ in 1986.He served as the Deputy Inspector of Schools,
Headmaster of Higher Secondary Schools, ‘District Educational Officer’
of Thoothukudi District, ‘Chief Educational Officer’ of Sivagangai
District and ‘Chief Educational Officer’ of Tirunelveli District with
ruthless sincerity and honesty. He also served as the ‘Secretary’ of
the Headmasters Association for five years and the Convener of the Common
Examination in Kanyakumari District. After his retirement from service in
1992, he became the Secretary of three colleges situated at Tiruchendur
namely, GOVINDAMMAL ADITANAR COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Dr.Sivanthi Aditanar
College of Education and Dr.Sivanthi
Aditanar College of Physical Education, managed by Aditanar Educational
Institution with Padmashree Dr.B.Sivanthi Adityan as the Chairman.
Presently, he is the ‘Secretary’ of the Association o Managements of
unaided colleges of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University.
