Dr. P. JEYANTHI
Principal
Dr. P. Jeyanthi is a university rank holder in her post graduate degree in
1985. She has been serving the college as Head of the Department of
Mathematics besides being a member of the ‘College Committee’ right from
its inception in 1987.She has been promoted as Principal from June 2011.
She has to her credit, worthy total teaching experience of 24 years by
handling classes for both under graduate and post graduate students. She
has been awarded Ph.D Degree by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University
Tirunelveli in 2005. She has been a recognized guide for Ph.D at
Manonmaniam Sundranar University Tirunelveli and Noorl Islam University,
Kumaracoil, Kanyakumari District. Two research scholars have been awarded
Ph.D. degree under her able guidance. At present, she has been guiding six
Ph.D. research scholars. She is an illustrious referee of six reputed
international journals and two national journals. She has served as one of
the referees of the “KYOTO International Conference”, Japan 2007. She is
also an acclaimed reviewer of “Mathematical Reviews” USA. Serving as a
‘Guest Editor’ she brought out a special issue on “Graph Theory” in
February 2010 by the “International Journal of Algorithm Computing and
Mathematics”. Exhibiting her research bent of mind she has published 34
research papers – 12 in well refereed national journals and 22 in well
refereed international journals. By cited in her research papers, so far
36 research articles were published by various authors in national and
international journals As a true researcher and academician she is a
member of a professional body of international standard and a life member
of three professional bodies of national standing. She is also a member of
the ‘Board of Studies’ of an autonomous college, Tuticorin. In recognition
of her research activities, the Department of mathematics of our college
has been recognized as a research centre by the Manonmaniam Sundaranar
University, Tirunelveli.
