The year 1987 is a momentous one in the annals of Tiruchendur Taluk for it witnessed the rise of a college for women in Tiruchendur. The college owes its origin solely on the philanthrophy of Dr.B.Sivanthi Adityan, the illustrious son of a noble father Mr.Si.Pa.Aditanar.
The college is a self-financing institution and does not receive any financial aid from the Government. It is fully maintained by the munificence of Aditanar Educational Trust. No capitation fee or donation is accepted for admission or appointment.
The founder of the college, Dr.B.Sivanthi Adityan is the Director of Daily Thanthi, a leading newspaper in Tamil and is a great industrialist.
